Personal Journey as a Business Leader

I was VP of Customer Success at ZMags, a SaaS digital experience platform. I spent over nine years at the company, progressing into various customer experience roles. During my tenure, I had the opportunity to work in Denmark for four years before relocating to London and traveling between our Boston and European offices. Throughout my career, I have always been deeply passionate about technology and its ability to improve processes, drive innovation, and ultimately serve people at scale.

Significant Accomplishments and Success Stories

One of my most significant accomplishments and success stories as a business leader is leveraging my experience at ZMags to start my own SaaS platform, Recoverlution. At Recoverlution, our primary focus is to provide people in recovery with a positive experience that offers lifelong support. We have a strong emphasis on inclusivity, ensuring that our technology is accessible anywhere, anytime, and to anyone seeking recovery.

Leadership Style and Approach

When it comes to my leadership style and approach, I can’t pinpoint it to a specific textbook style. Instead, I believe in being open, honest, and transparent with my team. We work collaboratively to ensure that the vision and mission of the business are well communicated and on track. I value the importance of honesty, even when it comes to decisions that may have turned out to be mistakes. I see these as opportunities to learn and grow stronger as a team. We share both the successes and failures, recognizing that we are all in it together, committed to the collective success and growth of the organization.

Unique Strategies and Initiatives for Differentiation

In order to differentiate myself and my company in the market, I have implemented unique strategies and initiatives. As a brand, we strive to establish a direct connection with our audience by sharing our own stories and creating a platform for a two-way conversation. We believe in fostering brand loyalty by focusing on what we genuinely believe in and ensuring that our audience shares those beliefs. This clarity of purpose helps us define who we are, what we do, and why we do it, enabling us to effectively assist and engage with every potential member or partner.

Navigating Challenging Situations

As a business leader, I have faced my fair share of challenging situations. One example that stands out is the difficulty of admitting and rectifying mistakes, particularly when it involves people. There have been instances where I had to make tough decisions regarding team building in order to move the organization forward. These decisions can be emotionally challenging, but they are crucial for the overall growth and success of the company.

Key Values and Principles in Decision-Making

The key values and principles that guide my decision-making process as a business leader revolve around trusting my gut instinct. I believe in making tough decisions rather than tiptoeing around challenges that could potentially slow us down. I prioritize learning from the outcomes of those decisions, even if they don’t always lead to the desired results. This approach ensures continuous growth and forward momentum.

Staying Informed about Industry Trends

To stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the industry, I place great emphasis on networking. By actively engaging with key players in the space, we can have open and honest discussions about strategic objectives, pain points, and opportunities. This collaborative approach allows us to work together towards common strategic goals that not only move the needle in the industry but also tangibly help people.

Factors Contributing to Success as a Business Leader

In my opinion, several key factors have contributed to my success as a business leader. One of the most significant factors is my belief in aligning work and play. I make a conscious effort to ensure that everything we do and everyone involved enjoys the journey as much as the destination. This mindset fosters a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere that fuels our drive for success.

Future Aspirations as a Business Leader

Looking forward, my future aspirations as a business leader involve the continued evolution and growth of Recoverlution in the market. Our vision includes proposing a pioneering approach to addiction recovery through an “AI Journey For Recovery.” This innovative solution aims to revolutionize the path to recovery by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into our existing platform. By leveraging AI algorithms, we can create personalized recovery routes for individuals, taking into account their unique personas and behavioral patterns derived from their interactions with the Recoverlution system. This individualized approach moves away from the traditional one-size-fits-all solutions and offers a more tailored and effective recovery experience.

Accolades and Industry Recognition

In terms of personal accolades, awards, or industry recognition, I have received various professional accolades throughout my career. However, I consider my biggest achievement to be finding recovery, starting Recoverlution, and living authentically in my own skin. This journey has allowed me to truly appreciate and love my family and the people around me, which is a reward that surpasses any professional recognition.
